Make your 3D model be a star. In Sketchers Studio, you can use 3D models you created with Google SketchUp. Google SketchUp is a well-known 3D modeling software which makes modeling easy and intuitive. Sketchers Studio supports SketchUp files natively. If you have already used SketchUp, you can start to create an animation with your models right now. Animate your model with Sketchers Studio.

You can download the free version of Google SketchUp from the link below.

The first thing you need to do is to place 3D models and add scenes, when you create an animation with Sketchers Studio. You can move and rotate the models easily by mouse. If you use the “Live Mode Controller”, you can move as if you were the model itself  and you can add scenes while you are walking and flying freely in the 3D space.

You can also copy scenes from other models so you don’t have to create every single scene for each model.

Sketchers studio enables you to create animations quickly and efficiently.


After you add scenes, you often need to adjust their timing. In the timeline view of Sketchers Studio, all scenes and their timing are clear at a glance. You can edit a scene without difficulty as it starts in correspondence with the movement of other models.

Then you might also need some camera effects. You can control cameras as you wish, such as zooming in and out, switching them and making them track another model.

Dynamic camerawork will make your animation more attractive.

Even if you have never used Google SketchUp, you don’t have to worry. You can use published 3D models at Google 3D Warehouse which is a repository of 3D models on the Internet. The Google 3D Warehouse Browser which is embedded in Sketchers Studio enables you to import 3D models seamlessly from Google 3D Warehouse into your project of Sketchers Studio.

Find your favorite models from the enormous collection and use them in your animation.

3D Garage is a website where you can publish your Skechers Studio project. Show your technique of direction and your animation to people all over the world. 3D Garage will be available soon.

Various kinds of visual effects are necessary to create cool animations. Sketchers Studio provides you 3 type of effects. They are shadow effect, simple particle effect and simple motion effect. Simple particle includes effects like smoke and explosion. Simple motion offers you a handy use of a set of motions, such as opening and closing a door. Besides, Sketchers Studio has particle browser and motion browser so that you can apply these effects easily. Take advantage of these effects and create admirable animations.
